Connecting Japanese Heritage to the Future and the World

Tsunagu is a non-profit general incorporated association dedicated to preserving, promoting, and passing on Japan’s cultural heritage, such as craftsmanship, and artistic traditions.

Japan is home to countless traditions, skills, and values that have been cultivated over centuries. Today, however, many of these cultural treasures face significant challenges, including an aging artisan population, a shortage of successors, and declining opportunities to pass traditional knowledge on to future generations.

Our mission is to connect artisans, communities, businesses, and global audiences to ensure that Japan’s cultural heritage continues to thrive for future generations.

Through research, education, cultural exchange, and international outreach, we work to create sustainable opportunities that preserve and elevate the value of Japanese culture around the world.
